For the first time in the history of the event, we are excited to announce that the Sarasota Open ATP Challenger will be held in the City of Sarasota’s recently renovated Payne Park, located just steps away from Main Street, which boasts an incredible food, art and shopping scene. This location gives the tennis tournament the opportunity to attract more fans with its highly desirable central location as well as creating a week-long event that players, volunteers and fans won’t want to miss. With new ownership and new vision, we hope to grow this event into the premier Challenger event on the ATP tennis tour.

Avid pickleball players and Sarasota residents Brian & Valerie McCarthy finally said ENOUGH to those all-too-common Florida afternoon thunderstorms ruining their pickleball games. While they were sitting around in the rain at 3:00 PM, missing out on good pickleball play with their friends, they looked at one another and said, “There must be another way, a better way! We can do this!” So, they created a venture with a fresh twist on the optimal indoor pickleball experience for Sarasota, Florida!
